LUREDERRA TECHNOLOGY CENTER

(LUREDERRA)

LUREDERRA TECHNOLOGY CENTER

Lurederra is a technological centre that carries out research and applied technological development activities in the fields of nanotechnology, new materials and advanced environment at the service of companies and economical agents at both national and international level, including the subsequent implementation of innovations developed in the industrial production centres. Lurederra is very active in RTD projects, highlighting European Programs.

Main activities and roles in SUNRISE

Lurederra is mainly involved in Work Package 5, in the case studies, concretely, in the Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) activities, focused on nanotechnology-based functional coatings. Lurederra proposes alternatives, with less toxic and more resistant metal, highly stable metal oxide (MOx) materials as well as hybrid organic-inorganic matrices. Moreover, safer processes are expected from the low thickness coating concept with high adherence and negligible release from the coatings.

Lurederra will contribute to the thorough data gap analysis to be performed along the value chain of its case study related to nanocoatings. Moreover, required samples will be prepared for the corresponding testing and assessment programme.

Meet the LUREDERRA team

Cristina Salazar is an experienced chemist on surface and coating technology working for the nanotechnology department in Lurederra since 2009 involved in the development of functional materials and being a key participant in the centre in the optimisation of the FSP synthesis technology for development of new functional nanocompositions. Moreover, she has acted as technical coordinator for several collaborating projects both at national and international level.

Marta Mateo is a Chemical Engineer, and is the EU project Coordinator in Lurederra which carries out research and applied technological development activities in the fields of nanotechnology, new materials and advanced environment. Mrs Mateo has 19 years expertise in the field of environmental technologies and new materials. Her research activity implies being in charge of several research national and European projects in 5th, 6th, 7th Framework Programme, H2020 and Horizon Europe.
